Display Driver has stopped responding and has recovered

Hi. I know this question has been asked many times, but many are unanswered. I have a Dell Inspiron 1545, Window 7 64 bit. Just yesterday, my laptop kept blacking out, freezes and then unfreeze and this message would pop up saying, "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered. Display driver Intel Graphics Accelerator Drivers for Windows XP(R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered." It keeps happening around every 15-30 minutes. Sometimes, it totally blacks out. Other times, it unfreeze but the windows are blank. Someone please help me. The display adapter I have is Mobile Intel (R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family." Some people said online to update it and that might fix the problem. I went to the Intel website and updated the lastest one given, but the problem is still here. I've restored my laptop to a certain restore point, but still did not solve the problem. Suggestions and ideas? Thank you a head of time.

@I7ooler: Try uninstalling the .NET framework, and then re-installing it directly from Microsoft's* website.

@kurnia: It's hard to troubleshoot RO2 because the game itself is still in a beta phase... do any of your other games have this behavior?

hmm the other game that have same problem is 3 kingdom online (3ko) but its normal now after i follow your instruction, its only ro2 that still have problem, so if the problem is in the ro2 it self maybe i will wait for other option that can solved my problem.. thanks nic you really big helper so that i can play the other game ^_^

@kurnia: At this time I'm not sure what we can do about your missing textures. Since the game is still in beta, we will be unable to get a fix for it until we're allowed to play/test/reproduce the problem (we cannot though since we are outside of their country IP-ban). Are there any 3rd party sites/forums with users also reporting this issue?

I appreciate all your help. I reformatted my computer, and still the same problem persists after repeating over everything you have told me to do.

I came to the conclusion that is this not a software problem, and that this is a hardware problem. I have contacted lenovo and will ship back my laptop for repair/servicing.

What I've done:

- updated BIOS to 1.5

- checked, that Intel® Management Engine was already version 1349, no need to update

- uninstalled graphics drivers

- installed drivers for my motherboard (from MSI site, version 9.17.10.2867)

For now everything works fine. Hope problem is solved.

I am having the same issue when watching movies on media player and also on youtube.

Nic, I tried do download the driver as you suggested and I got an error message saying "The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer manufacturer. Setup will exit." I did a Google search for the phrase and one forum I found said that I had to extract the files from the download and then run the Setup file I found after extraction. I did this and still got the message. Also, thank you so much for the prompt reply.

Nic, again thanks for the prompt reply.

I tried doing it this way and followed the instructions given. Once I selected the folder containing the unzipper driver data I received a message saying that the driver was already up to date? I'm not quite sure what to do now. My driver only crashes when I play the game.
