Does motherboard's display port really matters for 3 displays configuration?

Does Z97 motherboard with HDMI, DVI and VGA ports has any cons in resolution or picture quality when connecting 3 monitors (large resolutions) in compare with Z97 monitors with HDMI, DVI, VGA and DP port? Processor is i3 4330 with hd graphics 4600.

p.s. Is it possible to have 3 independent displays at HDMI, DVI and VGA?

The available resolution and display options would be determined by the motherboard OEM and the documentation should include multiple display guides or resolution information for multiple displays.
