Does the UHD 620 No Longer Support 5120 x 1440?

Since the middle of last year I've been using my Lenovo X1 Carbon (6th Gen) to connect to my Dell U4919DW monitor via USB C. The native resolution of the monitor is 5120 x 1440, and the UHD 620 on my laptop apparently supports this resolution (https://www.dell.com/support/article/ca/en/cadhs1/sln314416/dell-u4919dw-system-requirements-and-supported-configuration?lang=en).

I have used the 5120 x 1440 resolution with no problem until this morning. When I got to my desk I noticed that the UHD 620 driver updated, and only allowed me to have a maximum resolution of 3840 X 1080 on USB C. Fortunately, I was able to roll-back the UHD 620 driver to a previous version, temporarily fixing my issue.

Does the UHD 620 no longer support 5120 x 1440, and if so, why not? I bought this monitor with the understanding that I could use it at its native resolution.

Hi. I have the exakt same problem with my hp elitebook x360 1030 g3. My Monitor is Philips 499P9, 49" super Ultra wide screen.

Before it worked perfect running 5120x1440 with USB-C- Then Windows10 was upgraded & Intel drivers, and then I could not use 5120x1440. any longer.

Downloaded old driver, (intel_vga_26.20.100.7262), and now I can chose the higher 5120x1440 again!!

Please Intel, solve the bug.

thanks

Chris

I have the same problem. My Dell XPS 15 9500 has an Intel integrated GPU 630 which should support 5120x1440. However the latest drivers from the Dell website (26.20.100.7870) and from Intel (27.20.100.8336) support only 3840x1080.

I cannot find version 26.20.100.7262. Please would someone post a link to it.

I figured out that the reason I was not getting 5K was because the USB-C to USB-C cable could support only 1440x1080. When I tried a USB-C to DisplayPort cable (using the same driver), I could get the full 5210x1440. This is something not made clear by Dell.

I have a t490s with Intel uhd 620.  Intel custom resolution has worked for me for a Dell u4919dw.

Here is the link:  https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005540/graphics.html

By following the steps, I was able to setup 5120x1440 resolution and this resolution then appeared in Windows settings display.  So, by selecting it I was able to have 5120x1440.

I just got it working so not sure about long term stability yet.  Good luck.
