Lenovo Yoga 2, Windows 8, Intel HD Graphics Family Chipset, version 10.18.14.4889
I have a 4k Ultra HD secondary monitor connected via HDMI-to USB (because the laptop doesn't have an HDMI port. I know the chipset doesn't support full 4k, but the control panel won't even recognize that there is a second monitor even connected. How do I get the graphics driver to "see" the new monitor?

Hello DTMF,
I understand that you are trying to connect a monitor to the laptop.
Regarding this, to better assist you with your request, I will need to check some information about your computer. Please follow these steps:
1. In the keyboard, press WinLogo key + R.
2. In the Run box please type dxdiag and hit Enter.
3. Click on Save All Information (save it in your desktop).
4. Attach the report to this thread.
Also, I was checking with the model you provided me with and I found that it has a micro HDMI port. You can try using a Micro HDMI to HDMI cable in order to see if the system recognizes the monitor.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
David V
