HD 530 with dual monitors in extended mode resulting in high use of GPU

I encountered a strange problem when using hd530. The phenomenon is that in the extended screen mode, when I open the baidunetdisk.exe application, moving the mouse on the desktop, the gpu will have intermittent pulses, causing the system to pause. However, in single, copy, and collage modes, GPU usage is normal. Through the resource manager, I see that the CSRSS process is using the GPU.

Is this related to the graphics driver? Any good idea?

The program download address is: https://issuecdn.baidupcs.com/issue/netdisk/yunguanjia/BaiduNetdisk_6.2.0.exe

Hello Y.hb,

Thank you for contacting us.

I understand that you are experiencing high CPU usage issues when the extended screen mode is active.

In order for me to assist you better, please provide me with the .txt file that the System Support Utility will generate. To attach a file, you must click the "Attach" option on the bottom right-hand corner of the response box.

Hello Y.hb,

Thank you for your response.

We will try to replicate the issue and investigate further with a similar system model and the same graphics controller.

This will cause a brief delay between our answers; however we will reach you back as soon as we have news.

We really appreciate your patience.

Hope this helps,

Regards,

Diego S.

Hello Y.hb

Thank you for your patience.

We just finished the attempt of replication of the issue that you reported to us.

I regret to inform you that after several attempts we were unable to replicate the case scenario specified on your thread.

We used a computer that runs with the same graphics controller as your machine (Intel ® HD Graphics 530), as a matter of fact we used the same driver version: 6194.

As well we ran the extended display mode, please note that our computer (Microsoft* Surface Pro 4) is running the latest Windows ® updates.

We downloaded the app from the link that you provided, and still the CPU usage did not show any intermittent pulses, displaying a peak of about only 3% of CPU utilization.

Here you will find some screenshots:

In this case we strongly recommend you to contact your equipment manufacturer so they can verify if there is any customized patch or update missing on your system so they can assist you through their support.

You can contact them here:

Hope this helps,

hi, Diego S, thanks for your reply. Recurring this phenomenon first requires a successful login to the BaiduNetdisk application. You can register an account through this website and log in. Registration URL:https://passport.baidu.com/v2/?reg&overseas=1&tpl=netdisk https://passport.baidu.com/v2/?reg&overseas=1&tpl=netdisk

Recurring step:

1 Use the extended mode external expansion screen, open BaiduNetdisk.exe, and log in BaiduNetdisk.exe.

2 Open the task manager, double-click the taskbar's titlebar, and frequently maximize the window and minimize the switch.

3 In the 3D window of the GPU, you can see pulses with a peak value of about 50% (the csrss process occupies GPU resources).

Fig1.GPU pulse

Fig2. GPU usage rate

This phenomenon occurs only in extended mode with BaiduNetdisk.exe running(successfully login). Exiting BaiduNetdisk.exe in extended mode does not have this phenomenon. Also in single-screen, copy, or collage modes, this GPU pulse does not occur while BaiduNetdisk.exe is running.

Hope for your reply soon. Thanks again.
