How to get Godot Game Engine to run on my SP6 (UHD 620 card) without lag?

General lag and severe input lag using the most recent versions of Godot game engine and Windows 10. The input is always one char behind.

For example (input on left, display on right):

a >>

ab >> a

abc >> ab

abc (backspace) >> abc

I use programs more intense than Godot on this machine with no issue. Any help would be appreciated :).

Someone on reddit said launching Godot from the command line with the “verbose” command worked, but I would like a more permanent fix if that is possible.

GRang1, Thank you for posting in the Intel® Communities Support.

In reference to this scenario, based on the fact that the problem only happens when using Godot Game Engine, that indicates that there is no problem with the Intel® Graphics driver, when the driver does not work properly you will have this kind of problems with all the applications and some of them might not even start.

We can still try to install the graphics driver provided by the manufacturer of the computer since that driver was customized by them work with your specific platform. I looked in Microsoft*s web site for the latest graphics drivers for your system, in the following link you will be able to find them for you to install them:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=57514

Since the computer works with Intel® UHD Graphics 620, we can also install the Intel® Generic Graphics driver version 26.20.100.6912:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28888/Intel-Graphics-Windows-10-DCH-Drivers?product=126789

In this case, what we recommend is to get in contact directly with the developers of the application, to make sure your platform meets the minimum requirements to run it properly and also to confirm if there is a compatibility issue with the latest Windows* updates:

You can also get in contact directly with Microsoft* to verify if in fact, those are the proper graphics drivers for your system and if a BIOS update is required:
