My new computer

CPU i5 2500 k

MB Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3H-B3

Monitor ASUS MS246H

OS Windows 7 x64

Days before, I also have the same problem that so many guys have.

I can't get the output from 2500K via the HDMI port and DVI port after install the driver,

It's fine while using the DVI or HDMI port. But when I install the driver and reboot, there is no display after the screen "Windows Starting".I go into the safe mode uninstall the driver to using the system driver, everything just go fine after reboot. And when I using the VGA port from the MB,there is no problem after install driver.I try many kinds of drivers, the HDMI and DVI port also have no display.

Now I solve the problem using the method as below:

1.prepare a vga-vga line, and connect it from MB vga port to monitor vga port

2.connect a hdmi or dvi line from mb to monitor

3.select the monitor output mode to VGA

4.power on the PC and login the system (Now it's using the vga,so there is no problem)

5.install or reinstall the driver and DO NOT restart after the job is over.

6.press WIN+P and select the duplicate mode (the second one) and press enter to confirm.

7.right click on your desktop and select "screen resolution" ,that you will see your monitor is seperated into two parts (1|2)

8.then change your monitor output mode to HDMI or DVI,Is it working now?

9.remove the vga line, and the output form hdmi or dvi is good

10.reboot the PC and everything is OK

Hope this method is useful to you, thanks.

I SOLVED this problem.

I had the same problem long time. i have vga and hdmi output on my pc but only one was recognized. i installed several drivers,

including the special drivers mentioned in this tread to solve the 'hdmi not recognized' problem. Noting helped. So.. what helped?

Solution: 1) Completely uninstall the current Intel driver from 'device manager'

2) restart. Windows finds new device and updates it with latest intel driver! ( you could also do this manualy of course)

Problem solved: Now, for the first time Both , my vga and hdmi are recognized in the intel graphics properties! and they are bothe recognized when i plug a cable in either vga

or hdmi and i can select multiple monitors in intel grahics properties.

So always deinstall to default vga before installing driver.

cheers, Tom

Hi Xionic,

I regret the inconvenience with the graphics performance. Intel is always improving its products. Hopefully the next graphics card generation complies with your requirements.

Hi Mike,

I also have this problem.

ASrock Z77 extreme 4 motherboard , Intel Ivy bridge

I've followed the procedure several times :

1. uninstall Intel display adapter ( Graphics 4000)

2. reboot

3. let windows find the correct driver.

Then both VGA and DVI monitors work.

But, every time I power down , or go to sleep or hibernate,

I have to repeat the above procedure.

I've also downloaded the superposed correct driver , and , tried that , same result.

I got this email from Ruben:

"

Hello Peter,

I understand that you are having problems in your computer with the Intelgraphics driver.

Please try this:

Download this Intel graphics driver and save it in your desktop. Please use the .zip file.

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25698/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-and-Windows-7-8-1-15-33-?product=81499 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25698/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-and-Windows-7-8-1-15-33-?product=81499

Disable the Internet connection in your computer.

Uninstall the current driver again and restart the system (make sure there is no Internet connection).

Then unzip the file to a designated location or folder.

Open Device Manager:

For Windows 10: Right-mouse click on Windows Start icon

Click Yes when prompted for permission from User Account Control.

Expand the Display adapters section.

Right-click the Intel® graphics entry and select Update Driver Software.

Click Browse my computer for driver software.

Click Browse and select the directory where the driver files are located.

Click Next. Drivers are now being installed.

Reboot computer when prompted.

Please let me know your findings.

Best regards,

Reuben

Hey Mike ,

I see in this instruction sheet :

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005629.html How to Manually Install an Intel® Graphics Driver in Windows® 10 &...

The driver version is showing as : 9.17.10. 2875

That is not the driver version that is downloaded from :

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25620/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-1-10-15-40-6th-Gen-?v=t Download Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows® 7/8.1/10* [15.40 6th Gen]

10.18.10.4358

OR, do I have the incorrect one?

Hi petergmauro,

The latest driver available at downloadcenter for HD graphics 4000 included on 3 gen Core™ processors is .4358 (1/21/2016).

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25698/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-and-Windows-7-8-1-15-33-?product=81499 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25698/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-and-Windows-7-8-1-15-33-?product=81499

The Manual Installation of graphics driver is correct, it is an optional way to install it.

If it is not possible to install the latest graphics driver, send me the processor model and the current operating system.

Hi Mike,

Thank you for your reply.

I have version 4358 installed , and , it works fine .

The problem is that it won't stay loaded.

I have to reinstall it every time I wake the computer up from sleep, hibernate, or power up from a shut down.

Windows 10 starts loading, with it usual logo , a square, displaying using the DVI monitor and a separate VGA monitor ,

then turns off the DVI monitor, but , continues on the VGA monitor.

When it 's done , I just reload the Intel Graphics driver, and , everything is fine.

But, that is a nuisance.

So, it looks like something in Windows 10 isn't playing well with the graphics driver.

Can you help?

Peter

In regards to your issue, Intel would like to create a new case related only to Intel® HD graphics 4000.

Do you mind to create a new case using the sticky note plus sending us the report of the graphics control panel.

Hi Mike,

Something looks funny:

My Device Manager properties says I have installed 10.18.10.4425

But, you've listed 15.33.43.4425 as the correct identification.

I have downloaded the file from the link you provided, and , installed , per your instructions.

But, still ,I'm showing " 10.18.10.4425 "

And, I still have the same problem, I need to reload the Graphics driver every time I start from power down , sleep, or hibernate.
