Bonjour,

Existe t_il un intérêt à installer une carte graphique INTEL ARC 750 sur une carte mère déjà pourvue d'un processeur INTEL I7 12700 K (intégrant une partie graphique UHD 770) ?

Hello Jean,

Thank you for your answer. I will try to explain my question.
I want to know if a processor with an integrated graphics chip (I7 12700 K) can work in synergy with an ARC 750 graphics card installed on the same motherboard?
Will the performance be increased ?
Do the two GPU powers add up or the most powerful take over?
Or is it useless to cumulate two GPUs (integrated and dedicated) on the same motherboard ?
It’s just that I want to buy a new device soon and I inquire before purchase.
I hesitate between three choices :
1) I buy only processor with integrated GPU I7 12700 K
2) I buy processor with integrated GPU I7 12700 K plus an INTEL ARC 750 graphics card
2) I buy processor without integrated GPU I7 12700 KF plus a graphics card INTEL ARC 750
I would like to know what would be the best solution to have the best performance.
For now I only use one 32" screen.
Best regards,
Castet33.

Hello Castet33.

It would be important that this decision will depend on your needs and your system use case. However, you should consider since discrete graphics have their memory source and power source, they provide higher performance than integrated graphics.

If you combine Intel Arc + Intel Integrated graphics (12th gen processor and newer), you can take advantage of Intel® Deep Link Technology. Having integrated graphics may also help you for troubleshooting purposes.

You can also use Windows Hybrid graphics wherein the GPUs and their drivers can be simultaneously utilized to provide users with the benefits of both the performance capability of discrete GPU (dGPU) and the low-power display capability of the processor GPU (iGPU). However, you should consult with Microsoft support for additional information about the system requirements to use this feature.

Hopefully, this information helps you, and we recommend you make the decision based on your system needs.

Best regards,
