Intel Arc 580

I have a Dell XPS 8940 Desktop and wanted to know if the 500 series graphics cards would work in it.  On checking it apparently does not have a resizable BAR in the current BIOS (part of Dell's planned obsolescence policy probably).  I'd check with Dell, but they are idiots.

Are the 580 cards ever going to be released?

Thanks.

Hello DaleWebb,

Thank you for contacting Intel Technical Support for graphics.

Resizable BAR (or Smart Access Memory) must be enabled for optimal performance when using Intel® Arc™ A-Series Graphics. Though, Intel® Arc™ Graphics can still work on a system without Resizable BAR enabled.

This Intel blog post lists some of the first retailers to get your own Intel Arc card: https://game.intel.com/story/intel-arc-graphics-release/

Please check this link which shows launched Intel® Arc™ A-Series Graphics
