Intel Graphics Command Center (Silent Install - Endpoint Configuration Manager)

Good afternoon,

We have an Endpoint Configuration Manager server here and are trying to set up an application for the Intel Graphics Command Center.  The package that we have from Dell is a batch file which then calls a powershell script that is supposed to install the app.  Unfortunately, when we try to run it it says the machine already has the app installed.  However, when we check Apps or the Start menu it is not listed.

Has anyone had any success in automating this installation?  If so, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

cschmidt98, Thank you for posting in the Intel® Communities Support.

In order for us to provide the most accurate assistance on this scenario, we just wanted to confirm a few details about this case:

What is the model of the Endpoint Configuration Manager Server?

If besides the Server there is a computer being used, what is the model of that computer?

What is the name of the application?

You mentioned "are trying to set up an application for the Intel Graphics Command Center", could you please provide a detailed description of what is it that you are trying to accomplish?

Do you mean that you are trying to do a silent installation of Intel® GCC along with other applications to the Server?

How is that application related to Intel® GCC, do you want it to show up in the applications field to configure some settings on it, could you please explain?

Is it a publicly available application or an application that you designed?

What is the objective of the application?

Were you able to set up the application for the Intel® Graphics Command Center before?

If so, when did the issue start?

Did you make any recent hardware/software changes that might cause this problem?

Which Windows* version are you using?

Does the problem happen at home or in the work environment? If it is at work, what is the purpose of the company?

Please attach the SSU report from the computer so we can verify further details about the components in your platform, check all the options in the report including the one that says "3rd party software logs":

Any questions, please let me know.

Good afternoon,

I am currently working on obtaining the requested information and will get back to you.  Here are some responses that I can provide...

What is the model of the Endpoint Configuration Manager Server? Version 2203

If besides the Server there is a computer being used, what is the model of that computer? Dell OptiPlex 3080

What is the name of the application? Intel Graphics Command Center

You mentioned "are trying to set up an application for the Intel Graphics Command Center", could you please provide a detailed description of what is it that you are trying to accomplish? We are trying to set up an unattended silent installation of this application so that we can automate the installation without having to do it manually.

Do you mean that you are trying to do a silent installation of Intel® GCC along with other applications to the Server? We are trying to set up a silent installation of Intel GCC along with other applications to a desktop computer.

How is that application related to Intel® GCC, do you want it to show up in the applications field to configure some settings on it, could you please explain? We need it to actually install on the desktop so we can run it and configure multiple displays.

Is it a publicly available application or an application that you designed? It is publicly available.

What is the objective of the application? To allow us to configure multiple displays.  Unfortunately the built-in Windows display settings don't allow the option to "keep display scaling" for multiple displays that are different aspect ratios.

Were you able to set up the application for the Intel® Graphics Command Center before? Yes, but this was when it was bundled in the graphics driver package.  Apparently Intel has made it a standalone install and removed it from future graphics driver packages.

If so, when did the issue start? The issue started when Intel made it a standalone app and took it out of their Graphics Driver package.

Did you make any recent hardware/software changes that might cause this problem? No.

Which Windows* version are you using? Windows 10

Does the problem happen at home or in the work environment? If it is at work, what is the purpose of the company? The problem happens regardless of the environment.

Usually when we set up unattended/silent installs, we do so with an .exe or .msi file.  Since the Intel Graphics Command Center is a Windows app, we are unable to do so.  We also cannot add an offline copy from the Windows store to ECM as Intel doesn't offer it for this particular app.

cschmidt98, Thank you very much for clarifying all those details.

"I am currently working on obtaining the requested information and will get back to you", Perfect, take your time, at this point we just need the SSU report in order to confirm the model of the Intel® processor being used and the graphics controller on it.

Once you get the chance, please provide the report so we can further assist you.
