I have installed a game 'Valorant' which used to run fine. Until recently after I had reset the laptop from the setting options.
My game crashes due to a particular DDL.
The event viewer is showing the following:

Hi @Saboteur,
Thank you for providing the necessary information. Based on the SSU log report, I noticed that your current graphics driver version is 32.0.101.6790, which is outdated. The latest version available is 32.0.101.7029, and it appears that previous update attempts may not have been successfully applied.
To ensure a clean installation, we’ll use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and follow a step-by-step process. Please temporarily disable Windows Update during this procedure to avoid interference. You can follow the instructions in Windows* Update Rolling Back Graphics Driver to a Previous Version carefully—especially the part about not selecting "Execute Clean Installation" during the driver setup.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Download DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller).
- Download the latest graphics driver installer: version 32.0.101.7029.
- Boot into Windows Safe Mode:
- Press Win + R
- type, msconfig
- Go to the Boot tab → check Safe boot with Networking → click Apply and OK.
- Run DDU:
- Select all GPU options.
- Proceed with the uninstallation.
- Wait for the system to restart.
- Note: If the system doesn’t boot normally, don’t panic. Force restart using the power button.
- Once back in Windows:
- Open Device Manager and confirm the GPU is listed as Microsoft Display Adapter.
- Disable Safe Mode via
- type, msconfig
- Go to the Boot tab → Uncheck Safe boot with Networking → click Apply and OK.
- Restart
- Once back in Windows:
- Locate and run the graphics driver installer.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- Do not check the box for “Execute Clean Installation.”
- Reboot the system.
- After reboot:
- Verify the driver update in Device Manager and Intel Graphics Software.
- Launch the game and test for any crashes.
If the issue persists after this process, please let me know. We’ll proceed with Plan B which involved updating BIOS to its latest version., as I suspect this may be a driver conflict caused by the recent system reset.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation. Let me know how it goes or if you need further assistance.
Best regards,
