Intel HD 5500 driver win64_15.40.5171 wont install

Acer Aspire E15 E5-573G-52G3 - Intel HD 5500

.5171 wont install by exe or going thru zip file installing thru update drivers by the included .inf file in graphics folder.

I have tried clean install and loading in microsoft basic adapter driver (2006) , update driver times out every time and then used system restore to get .4703 graphic driver installed.

I have tried safe mode as well times out there too.

Acer site has standard intel dch driver ~ 2015 not proprietary.

I have 20.19.15.4703 (2017) installed an intel dch update from ~ 2015 driver.

This driver will not update on windows 10 or 11 64 bit.

2nd time posting this first went off meta into the verse never to be seen again.
