Hi everyone,

My laptop has an Intel HD Graphics 4000, so i need to buy a new monitor that is the Dell s2719dc. It has one hdmi 2.0 ports, in particular in the datasheet i can see that it is

HDMI 2.0 with HDCP 2.2 (combine HDMI 1.4 with HDCP 1.4). I suppose that the monitor is at least hdcp 1.4 compliant.

My question about that is: My Intel HD Graphics 4000 is hdcp 1.4 compliant? when I plug in my computer will I have a problem or not?

thank you

Lor3: Thank you for joining the Intel® communities support.

The laptop basically only includes the Intel processor, that is why from our side we cannot guarantee that the monitor will work with no problems, there could be a compatibility problem between the laptop and the new monitor, the design and everything in reference to compatibility will be handle by the the manufacturer of them.

In this case the best thing to do will be to get in contact with the manufacturer of the laptop to verify if they can confirm or if they have maybe a list of tested peripherals that includes the Dell s2719dc monitor, so you can make sure it is fully compatible with it.

Same thing with the monitor, you can always get in contact with Dell directly to verify the same compatibility information:

Lor3: you are very welcome.

Yes, that is correct. HDCP is supported by the HDMI interface in all Intel® Core™ Processors with Intel® Iris® and Intel® HD Graphics. It is also supported for all Intel® Pentium® Processors and Celeron® Processors with Intel® HD Graphics as you can confirm in the following link:
