Hello all,
I have an ASUS A55A laptop pc. The operating system is Windows 8 64bit. The graphics card installed is Intel HD Graphics 4000 v9.17.10.3114.
I have an external blu-ray player, an LG Slim Portable Blu-ray Multi Drive. The blu-ray playback software is PowerDVD 10.0.2930.52.
Here's my problem. I am using a program called cyberlink bd advisor. This program runs a compatibility test to determine whether my computer is capable of blu-ray playback. Currently, blu-ray disks will not play from my external drive, and BD Advisor states that my system will not support blu-ray due to my graphics card driver. It tells me that version 9.17.10.3114 is not acceptable. I have attached a screenshot of the problem.
What can I do to get my system to play blu-rays? Any assistance would be most appreciated.

Please test the video driver posted here:
Then install the latest Intel Management Engine Interface provided by your motherboard manufacturer at:
http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&p=3&m=A55A http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&p=3&m=A55A
And update the BIOS to BIOS 407 version, posted on that same site.
In addition you may check with LG to update the firmware and drivers of the portable BD player you are using.
