Intel HD Graphics Driver Update Problem

Hello everyone,

I tried to update my Intel HD Graphic driver to the 15.28.15.64.3062 version that came out 03/21/2013 and I'm pretty sure I don't have that version.

I downloaded the zip and the exe version but in both case it showed me the same error message:

"this computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software"

I checked and I do have all the requirements that are written in the "Installation_Readme" file. I'm only not sure about the third condition which is:

"There should be sufficient hard disk space in the directory on the system in order to install this software" because I don't know where to find

that information but i think I have space because I have about 20 GB free on my C/ disk.

These are my computer information:

Computer : Toshiba Satellite L655 PSK1EE

Processor : Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU M370 @2.40GHz

System type : 64-bit Operating System

Windows Edition : Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

If it's not enough just tell me what to add and how to find the information about it.

Thanks For Your Help!

Hi Aquaninja101/ stream1,

You can try the steps above with this graphics controller:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=3720&DwnldID=23714 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=3720&DwnldID=23714

Tush,

If you have done the steps mentioned in the document mentioned above, I recommend you contacting your Computer Manufacture so they can provide the custom drivers designed and created specifically for your system.

Hi AbhiShah,

Thanks for the comments. Based on the system report you posted it seems your computer is running a second generation processor and that is the reason why you are having problems installing the driver Ver 3496. This version is for 3rd/4th generation processors.

The driver you need to install is the following:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=3319&DwnldID=23763 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=3319&DwnldID=23763

If you get the notifications "Your computer does not meet the minimum requirement for installing the software" It is because our drivers are generic software and the drivers that oems provide are special and custom drivers specifically for their systems. So in case you have problems try the steps mentioned here:

/docs/DOC-22542 https://communities.intel.com/docs/DOC-22542

Dawson5404,

I regret to say that I will need to know the specific graphics controller you have so I can provide accurate information. Can you please post your graphics report here?

How to get it?

Graphics Report: Right click on desktop> Graphics Properties> Options> Drop down Menu> Information Center> Save> Open .txt file created> Copy/Paste here.

Hello,

I can't find the right update for my graphics intel drive

I went to choose 3rd generation Intel HD 4000 from the download page and choose windows 8 64 bit....It says that the latest version is 15.33.22.64.3621

But when I click on desktop>graphic properties then went the intel graphics control panel open I clicked on options and support >information center ....It says that my driver version is 9.17.10.2932

Which isn't starting with (15.33.22) AT ALL.

So when I started to download that driver from here :https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=23885&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%208%2C%2064-bit*&DownloadType=Drivers https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=23885&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%208%2C%2064-bit*&DownloadType=Drivers

It gave me an error message says:The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer manufacturer.Setup will exit

so I really needs ur help to successfully update my Intel graphics card

My laptop specification:

Lenovo Z500

Proccessor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3230M CPU @ 2.60 GHz

System type : 64-bit Operating System

Windows Edition : Windows 8 Pro

My intel graphics card is :Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000

I also got Nvidia Geforce 740M 2GB dedicated

Hello,

I recently tried to update my Driver to the "Intel® Iris™ and HD graphics Driver for Windows* 7/8/8.1 64-bit" Version 15.33.22.64.3621. Similar to the OP, I am 100% certain that I do not have this version for the driver, however, when I try to update my driver on the device manager page, it is constantly telling me I already the latest version. I am currently on version 9.17.10.2857, the Driver Date being 2012-09-13. When I download the driver from this page: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=23885&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%208%2C%2064-bit*&DownloadType=Drivers Download Center. It says my computer did not is not compatible or something and the program will exit.

Is there any way to update my computer to the latest driver?

Here are my specs :

I have a Mac Book Air 3 generation with Intel HD graphics, When I boot in Mac OS, all works fine, but when boot in Windows 7 with BootCamp, after "starting windows" it get a black screen, in safe mode works perfect, if I boot with a second monitor connected to my Mac its load all right, I update to the last driver version, but not fixed my problem, any suggestion?

Miguel8a, I am sorry you are having this problem, you can try our driver but it is a generic driver and most of times it does not work correctly for Mac systems due to their internal hardware and software composition and limitations. I strongly recommend you contacting your Computer Manufacture for them to provide the special drivers you required.

Marko021,

The driver your system currently have is the latest one we have.

Hello Jakenardo,

Please note the latest driver we have for your controller is for Windows 7 and I noticed you have Windows 8.1. This may be the reason why you are having problems installing the driver(unsupported Operating System). My best recommendation in this case is for you to try getting the generic Microsoft driver for Windows 8.1 or downgrading to Windows 7 and installing the following driver:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=22521 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=22521

Mefi,

Try this driver:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=23764 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=23764

If you find problems during the installation, try the steps mentioned here:

/docs/DOC-22542 https://communities.intel.com/docs/DOC-22542

Hi, I have a similar problem while using the intel driver update utility to see whether any update is available for the driver of my graphics card intel hd3000. It is showing that i have a generic intel driver and should contact the computer manufacturer. However i have installed the driver 9.17.10.3190 from lenovo official support website (mine is a laptop thinkpad e430 lenovo). Even the device manager says i have the correct driver and it is updated. Then why intel is showing this message while checking with driver update utility?
