Intel SGX (Software Guard Extensions) fail to enable. "Operating system "Windows 10 Enterprise 10.0.18362" is not supported" Is this an accurate error, or generic result when failing to enable SGX? BIOS SGX Option set to: [Automatic]

If Enterprise truly is not supported, can support be added?

Hello AHaug2,

Thank you for submitting your question on this Intel® Community.

You may receive this error message if your processor does not support Intel® Software Guard Extensions (Intel® SGX) or if your system is not compatible with Intel® SGX.

  • Check if your processor supports Intel® SGX

  1. Go to https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark.html
  2. Select Find products by feature in the Advanced Search section
  3. Choose a filter: Intel® Software Guard Extensions (Intel® SGX)
  4. Add another filter under the Intel® SGX drop down option based on the processor you have installed in your computer:

  • If your processor supports Intel® SGX, then you may need to enable it in BIOS. It would be best to contact your system manufacturer since only your Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) is familiar with your BIOS.

  • If Intel® SGX is enabled in BIOS, and you still receive an error message, then make sure the application/software is capable of detecting Intel® SGX and using it as expected.

It is worth mentioning that we recommend that you contact your Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or Microsoft* support if the problem persists.
