Hello AHaug2,
Thank you for submitting your question on this Intel® Community.
You may receive this error message if your processor does not support Intel® Software Guard Extensions (Intel® SGX) or if your system is not compatible with Intel® SGX.
- Check if your processor supports Intel® SGX
- Go to https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark.html
- Select Find products by feature in the Advanced Search section
- Choose a filter: Intel® Software Guard Extensions (Intel® SGX)
- Add another filter under the Intel® SGX drop down option based on the processor you have installed in your computer:
- If your processor supports Intel® SGX, then you may need to enable it in BIOS. It would be best to contact your system manufacturer since only your Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) is familiar with your BIOS.
- If Intel® SGX is enabled in BIOS, and you still receive an error message, then make sure the application/software is capable of detecting Intel® SGX and using it as expected.
It is worth mentioning that we recommend that you contact your Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or Microsoft* support if the problem persists.
