Hello.

I am trying to play Vikings Wolves of Midgard on a Gpd Win 2 (m3 8100y - UHD 615) but the game has some graphic issues with shadows. This issue is supposed to be solved with some old drivers, version 15.46, but they are not compatible with my pc.

So, is there a way to solve this problem?

Well, I will try to do it later.

The issue is what appears on the youtube video. It could be a bit difficult to see due to the darkness but it has to do with shadows, they are flickering when the character moves.

Intel was aware of this graphic glitch and corrected it with a driver update but it was not compatible with all chipsets.

"Intel recently released its graphics driver version 15.46.02.64.4729 for Windows 10 64-bit. If you are a user of a recent PC system that relies upon Intel HD Graphics it's probably worth heading over to download the update. Please bear in mind that this graphics driver is for owners of Skylake or Kaby Lake systems only and the headline games optimisations are delivered even more specifically, to processors with Intel HD Graphics 620 or better."

"Back to games, with the first set of key issues fixed with this latest graphics driver. Intel says that DX9 games, such as Halo 2, will be improved with texture flickering bugs quashed. Many other games have had 'graphical anomalies' fixed up and those include; Guilty Gear Xrd, Fallout 4, Euro Truck Simulator 2, Guild Wars 2, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Vikings – Wolves of Midgard..."

·        What are the detailed steps to reproduce the issue?

Install the game and play it... It does not matter what graphics settings are being used.

·        Does the shadow issue happen at certain stages of the game? Please provide details.

It is always present. I´ve played about 1 hour of the game, entering a building at the begining is very noticeable. It is also noticeable looking at the footprints that leaves the character on the snow.

In this video it is happening. At minute 1:45 it is very noticeable (footprints):

It is present in this video too, at 0:55 onwards:

In this video it is not present (13:15):

I don´t mean to be rude but, is it crucial to fill up that form?

I´ve already sent the Intel SSU file.

Hello Gpdwinario2

Thank you for waiting.

We have been looking into your case details, and we notice that the game Vikings Wolves of Midgard requires DirectX 11 and the operating systems (OS) use DirectX 12, this could be causing the artifacts (shadow) while gaming. Please ty the steps on Running Older PC Games on Windows® 10 and Intel® HD/UHD Graphics and let me know the outcome.
