I saw that PyTorch 2.5 supports Intel iGPUs, such as Intel® Arc™ Graphics. I was wondering if the same applies to Intel® UHD Graphics family (I believe the required development packages are available for it too)? If not, will there be any support for it in the future? Thanks!

Hi Mantas,
I received an update from our team and I'd like to inform you that from the document PyTorch* Prerequisites for Intel GPUs, the requirements list MTL and ACM specifically. This indicated that the Xe cores are required for this. This means that RPL's iGPUs and older are not and will not be supported.
These Intel Client GPUs and CPUs with integrated GPUs are supported for PyTorch 2.5 (and are not supported for PyTorch 2.4):
- Intel® Core™ Ultra processor family with Intel® Graphics (Codename Meteor Lake)
- Intel® Arc™ Graphics family (Codename DG2)
These OS releases are supported:
- Windows 11 Family, Windows 10 (22H2)
- Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL2) running Ubuntu 24.04
- Note: Linux (e.g., Ubuntu) is not supported.
I hope this information helps. If you require further assistance, let me know so I could address it.
Have a good one!
Best regards,
Jed G.
