I have an Intel i7-4710MQ and a dedicated Nvidia GeForce940M, but I am repeatedly getting the "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" error when using various programs. When the error does occur, the program closes, and I am forced back to desktop. I have updated drivers to the latest release of both the Intel (win64_153626.4294) and Nvidia (358.50) as of today, but I am still encountering the issue.
There seems to be no reliable way of reproducing the error, some days it is non-existent with even the most graphics-intensive programs causing no issues, and other days (like today) I am unable to go 5 minutes without the issue persisting.
I have a dxdiag prepared if this is necessary.
Thanks for your help.

If you are using a dedicated Nvidia GeForce940M, this electronically disables the graphics from the processor, you may see the Intel® graphics information on the system, but you are using the graphics from Nvidia.
Please provide the system information PC brand and model (for OEMs) Motherboard brand (for custom made computers) or the Laptop brand and model

I have the ability to switch between graphics processors at will, which I have had to do more and more frequently due to the constant crashes. The motherboard model was listed above in the dxdiag I pasted, but here it is again:
Motherboard: Notebook W65_67SB (SOCKET 0)
The laptop is a custom build EXS laptop, without any specific build or model.

You can check the OEM website for drivers, in this case because you are using switcheable graphics the OEM makes a driver to work together both Graphics, if you download a driver from our download center this is a generic driver and you may receive an error.
