Kann ich mit 2 Grafikanschlüsse (1x HDMI und 1xVideo Port) mit Intel HD Graphics 530 drei einzeln ansteuerbare Monitore betreiben?

I am confused, because the INTEL website states that the Intel HD Graphics supports 3 Monitors. Are there MoBo with more ports than 2 then?

I just picked one at random that has 3 video ports:

When you say "Video Port", what do you mean? Is this a VGA port, a DisplayPort (DP) port or another HDMI port?

Only one monitor can be connected to VGA and HDMI ports. This means that,

  • If "Video Port" is VGA, then your system can only support two monitors.
  • If "Video Port" is HDMI, then your system can only support two monitors.
  • If "Video Port" is DP, then your system can support three monitors. In order to actually connect two monitors to a DP port, you must either use a MST Hub or, if the monitors support it, a DP Daisy-Chain.

If you indeed do have a DP port, let me know and I will provide pointers to appropriate MST Hub devices.
