I have auto select mode enabled. After gaming or using nvidia gpu, the gpu is not going to idle state, because of this the laptop is lagging. To fix this, these are the different ways to fix it
Sign out and sign in to windows
Manually switching gpus ( i.e turning on nvidia gpu only mode and then enabling auto select mode)
Restart the file explorer process in task manager
these are the three different ways to send the gpu to idle again and stop lagging, also idk when it all started to happen but before it started to happen i update intel graphics drivers in optional updates provided by acer only.
I have literally tried everything, clean install of drivers , windows , factory image
still the issue persists please help me fix the issue

Hello kagami
Thank you for the information provided.
We would like to know if you have contacted the system manufacturer regarding this.
Also, we requested to disable NVIDIA graphics only for testing, we need to isolate the issue. Please do it.
Please run the Windows Update tool. Then, try our latest generic driver: Intel® Arc™ & Iris® Xe Graphics - Windows* (Follow these instructions How to Use the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to Uninstall an Intel® Graphics Driver)
Let us know the outcome.
Best regards,
Jose B.

Nope i was unable to contact system manufacturer about this , i gave my laptop to acer authorised service center and they where unable to fix it .
ok will test without the gpu and update, but the thing is that when gaming i need gpu and after that i dont need so i will try to disable it after gaming and check if lag occurs.
The DDU i have done many time of both gpu drivers still couldnt fix the issue even updated to the latest intel driver before. Had some issues so i reverted to laptop support page intel driver version.
I have contacted system manufacturer through mail but they always send me to the service center, who actually dont know how to fix it

And more thing to add when this lag starts occuring i can see that the gpu is not idling i have mux switch in my laptop
next is that sytem process uses gpu 1 copy periodically always never ending idk why only that is using the gpu 1 copy no other process is using so i asked my friend about it he told he can also gpu 1 copy but his laptop gpu is idling back but in mine not
i didnt have this issue before updating the intel driver in optional updates , once i updated it feels like that intel driver did some changes to system files permanently like i cant change it now and gpu is not idling

Hello kagami
Thank you for waiting.
Based on the troubleshooting performed so far, we highly recommend contacting the system manufacturer to explore other options since the issue does not seem to be related to the driver.
This thread will no longer be monitored by Intel, thank you for understanding.
Best regards,
Jose B.
