My Lenovo Y520BN intel graphics HD 630 driver is version 22.20.16.4836 dated 17/10/2017 and according to the lenovo site is the latest. But I keep getting requests from Intel to update but it ends with an error.
Which is correct, Lenovo or Intel?
Thanks in advance
Dave

- Both answer can be correct. The 22.20.16.4836 is the last driver in Lenovo site,so, Lenovo is right. However, it is very old driver and the Lenovo is not updating driver.
- The driver in Lenovo site is Legacy driver (old style). Now Intel is releasing new style drivers (DCH driver). Some time, the laptop manufacturer is customizing the Intel drivers. In this case you may loose some customization after installing the generic driver from Intel.
- In order to install the DCH driver, the Legacy driver should be uninstalled first. The new Intel Driver is compatible with Windows 10 64 bit 1709 or newer. If your O.S. doesn't meet this requirement, you can't install the new driver.
- Download the latest Intel DCH Graphics Driver Version: 27.20.100.8280
- Disconnect the Internet.
- Open Apps and Features (Windows settings) and uninstall currently installed Intel Graphic Driver (22.20.16.4836).
- Reboot your laptop and install the DCH driver (8280).
- Reconnect the Internet and reboot your laptop.
