Qt-based application crashing when using OpenGL

Hi similar to (https://forums.intel.com/s/question/0D50P0000490HYmSAM/qtbased-applications-working-with-opengl-were-broken-after-driver-update?language=en_US), we have a Qt application that crashes when opening simple QDialog when the application is using OpenGL.

The machine is an HP laptop with the following processor: Intel Core i7-6600U @ 2.60GHz

Running Windows 10 x64

Intel HD Graphics 520

There is a driver update in the previous case (above) that is not compatible with this machine.

The question is if there is another one that would be compatible,

Regards

Hello PBern14,

Thank you for posting on the Intel Communities.

In fact, we have newer driver versions for the Intel® HD Graphics 520 than the one provided on that thread. You will find the downloads available in the following link:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28816/Intel-Graphics-Windows-10-DCH-Drivers?product=88355

Note: For laptops or other OEM computers (Original Equipment Manufacturers) we recommend to get the drivers available at the OEM website since those drivers are customized by your manufacturer (HP*), adding or removing features according to the specific computer model needs and to have the best performance for it.

You can look for your computer drivers and downloads available in this link:

I hope you find this information helpful.

Hi Abigail,

Yes, I believe the answer was accurate and helpful. However, since the machine is an HP, we reached to them and they are unwilling to fix their driver at this time. 😞

Best Regards,

Patrick

Hello PBern14,

In this case, our recommendation would be to test with the generic drivers provided above.
