Windows DCH drivers

Hello

I am frequently asked to installed the Windows DCH Drivers and Windows 10 and Windows 11 WiFi Drivers for Intel Wireless Adapters. I download and install successfully and all works fine. To complete the installation I need to perform a restart and this appears successful too. The problem arises when i turn off my device. After any reboot following the installation reboot (despite no other updates being performed) i am prompted to install the same two updates.

If i ignore the update request I get a message in the Football Manager application (game) that says i dont have the latest graphic drivers. Following the update the game doesn't flag that i have incorrect graphic divers suggesting the update has been successful.

A list of my PC spec and Drivers below. It appears as during a reboot there is a rollback in the version of the drivers. Attached is the output of the SSU scan

I get the same alert that a new driver (same as the old) is ready for download and installation. Even after a re-boot. Two days later it tells me I have the same update to download and install.

Brand new Lenovo T16 I've had for two weeks with Iris Graphics enabled in dual channel mode.

Getting tired of this Intel.

If IDSA is offering you an update that yoou have already installed, you can hide this update and it will not be presented to you again (unless you choose to have this hide operation terminate after a specific period of time).

Thanks Scott - the problem isn't the prompt. The problem is the driver i install disappears and applications are informing me i don't have the latest drivers and the applications may not work correctly.

When I install the drivers this warning goes. For some reason though the driver update is wiped upon a shutdown and restart of my device

Thanks Scott. I have hidden that update and did verify it is the same update that has been offered before. I also checked to see that it installed correctly, and Intel says all drivers are up to date now.

Yea, what's happening is that, the minute you reboot, Windows Update is overinstalling the version(s) that you installed with older version(s) of theis/these drivers. This is a longstanding issue for Intel and I do not understand why it continues to occur.

Anyway, what you can do about this is use the Windows Update Show-Hide tool to hide this (older) driver update. If you cannot find the tool on the Microsoft site, check out this article (which I know has a download link): https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/8280-hide-show-windows-updates-windows-10-a.html.

@AlHill: please provide link to your tutorial for addressing this problem (I couldn't find it)

Hope this helps,

Actually, IDSA is the "Intel® Driver & Support Assistant".
