Windows Experience Index drop after new drivers

Hey everyone,

I recently upgraded to the latest Intel HD 4000 graphics drivers for my Windows 7 64 bit laptop and noticed a big drop in my WEI rating. I wanted to ask everyone what they think about the significance of this. Prior to the latest drivers my 'Graphics' rating for 'Desktop performance for Windows Aero' was 6.4. After the new drivers it plunged to 5.6. While the 'Gaming Graphics' rating remained the same.

I think it's important to note that prior to this I was still using the last graphics driver from Intel, and not from my system manufacturer.

Thanks

You could either try to get the latest graphics driver from your laptop manufacturer or contact Microsoft* to get support for the Windows Experience Index since they build the tool.
