After I installed arc 770 to my pc, it started to give 3 beeps at bootup. the first one is long, the other two are short beeps. After it boots , the dvi port does not work , whereas hdmi works.  I updated to the latest BIOS, enabled the re_size BAR. GPU driver is the latest official intel driver. My system :

mainboard:  MSI   MS-7C51

CPU: AMD RYZEN 3600X

RAM: 16 gb ddr4

os: win11 (22H2 (10.0.22621)

Hello ibrahim_,

Thank you for posting on the Intel️® communities.

We would like to inform you that based on the information listed on the Intel® Arc™ A-Series Graphics – Desktop Quick Start Guide, the Intel® Arc™ A-Series Graphics supports AMD 500 Series motherboard, or newer, with Smart Access Memory enabled. As per your motherboard specifications, your motherboard's chipset is AMD® A320, your problem may be caused by a compatibility problem.

However, we would like to confirm the following information:

  • You mentioned that there is no video using the DVI port. Do you mean the DVI port on the motherboard?
  • Did you check that all the ports on the Intel® Arc™ A770 work (the DP and HDMI)?

It is also important to mention that you a 3-beep code is normally related to a problem with memory. However, you should consult with your motherboard OEM to confirm if this beep code is an indication of a problem with your system.

Hello Jean,

Thank you for your reply.  I don't use motherboards dvi port.  The problem did not occur at every time I started the PC. However, if it occured, some of the graphic cards ports did not work. But, since I removed and re-installed the BIOS battery, and flashed BIOS to latest update , and enabled re_size bar I did not encountered any GPU problem. To my knowledge, three short beeps imply memory problem, one long -two short imply GPU problem in MSI motherboards.

I have  two 3200 mHz memory on the motherboard. My motherboard supports 3200 only with OC mode.  If I  use memory under 3200, it sometimes causes blue screen problem.  So I use motherboard on OC mode.

However, it seems the problem is solved with BIOS update. I also already have bought a A520 motherboard. If I see the problem again, I can change the motherboard.

In the beginning, I had concerns about a hardware problem of GPU. But I do not think a new brand Intel GPU would have hardware problem. I think it is a compatibility problem as you mentioned.

Thank you for your interest and support.

Best regards.
