arc a380/a750 qsv enc sys paged memory leak

hw: i7-12700 + arc a380/arc a750

os: win10 21h2

sys memory: 16GB ddr4

igpu: hd graphic 770, driver ver 31.0.101.3490 ~ 31.0.101.4146

dgpu: arc a380/a750, driver ver 31.0.101.3490 ~ 31.0.101.4146

bios: rebar enable

software: intel\oneapi\vpl\2023.0.0\bin\sample_encode.exe  and  ffmpeg.exe

Use hd graphic 770 to encode 4kp50 h264/h265, nv12/p010/y210 yuv format, mfx.LowPower = MFX_CODINGOPTION_OFF, no sys paged memory leak, both sample_encode.exe and ffmpeg.exe.

Use arc a380/a750 to encoder 4kp50 h264/h265, nv12/p010/y210 yuv format, mfx.LowPower = MFX_CODINGOPTION_OFF, sys paged memory leak about 7MByte every minute, both sample_encode.exe and ffmpeg.exe. Close the encoder application cannot free sys paged memory.

Meanwhile, both sys physical memory and virtual memory will be exhausted, if i use a tool to clean memory, sys physical memory will be free but virtual memory not.

So I use a very large hard disk, to set huge virtual memory, about 2T, and use tool to clean memory every day, video encoder application can continuous work over hundred days. But when close the video encoder application and open it again, it cannot run unless reboot the machine.

Hello focus,

Thank you for posting on the Intel️® communities. We understand you are reporting a memory leak when trying to reopen an encoding software.

To better assist you, please provide me with the following:

Is there any error message when trying to open it again? If so, could you share a screenshot of the error message you receive?

  • Share with us a sample of the encoding software you are using.
  • If you can, provide us with a video showing the step-by-step for your issue. This would help us for issue reproduction purposes.
  • We would like to gather more information about your two systems that will help us troubleshoot your issue, so please, provide us with a report using the following programs:
    •  Intel®️ System Support Utility (Intel®️ SSU):
    • Open the application and click "Scan" to see the system and device information. By default, Intel®️ SSU will take you to the "Summary View."
    • Click on the menu where it says: "Summary" to change it to "Detailed View."
    • To save your scan: click "Next"; then "Save."

  • Intel® Graphics Command Center:
    • Open the Intel Graphics Command Center
    • Navigate to the Support tab
    • Select System Diagnostic
    • Click Generate Report
    • Select Save and name the output file.
