intel hd 4000 newest driver causes red pixels in shaders

I recently updated my driver for my intel hd 4000 chipset and since updating, I get weird red pixels in shaders and lighting in some newer games

such as dishonored and mass effect 3. The games run just fine no lag and no stutter just weird red pixels. Before updating the

driver I never had the red pixels in any of the games that I now see them. Is there any way to fix this issue other than just

rolling back my driver?

Can you please provide me with the system reports?

How to get it?

Dxdiag Report: Type dxdiag in Start Menu> open> Save> Attach using Advanced Editor Options.

System Information: Click Start> Type System Information> Click File> Export> Save File> Attach using Advanced Editor Options.

Graphics Report: Right click on desktop> Graphics Properties> Options> Drop Down Menu> Information Center> Save> Attach using Advanced Editor Options.

Please attach all these reports using the advanced editor option.

Hello,

Exactly the same problem !

I have a samsung NP74OU3E, I know it's not a gaming PC but dishonored have now red pixels everywhere and its the same for a little game: expandabros!

But I can run hitman without these reds pixels, why ?

I can see on youtube videos of dishonored running well with HD4000 but why it doesn't work for me ...

Hope I will can play dishonored soon

Thank you for listening us !

also happens in MGSV Ground Zeroes, mostly when using flashlights at some areas (mostly indoors)

Thank you for providing me with the reports. I noticed you have a very old diver installed so try updating the driver. Here you can download it:

Strange my driver update utility didn't detect the newest driver. Anyway I got that installed and I am still having the same problem with the red dots. Is there anything else you would recommend trying? I am almost positive it is something in the drivers because if I revert to the original driver that the machine came with I don't get the dots.

Hello iTsaMe,

So I just want to confirm, the red dots were not there before updating the driver. Do you remember what graphics driver version was working fine?

You told me games like Dishonored and Mass Effect 3 are affected. Also lybxlpsv reported this with MGSV Ground Zeroes so If there are other games with this issue, please let me know.

That is correct. The last driver I used that did not have the problem with the red dots was intel hd graphics 4000 version 8.15.10.2712 released in March of 2012.

Also I want to add that The Witcher 3 also have issues with lighting, didn't spot red pixels but causes major slowdown. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9zx2jko6aw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9zx2jko6aw (sorry for blurry videos, was aiming for minimal fps impact when recording)

Thank you all for providing feedback. I will try to get these games and try to replicate it. As soon as I have more information, I will be back.

Hi iTsaMe,

The engineers are still working on this issue. Try with the previous version 15.33.35.64.4176.

I just registerd to let you know that disabling AF in the Intel control panel solved the problem for me (latest Intel HD drivers for 5500). AA off and in game tweaking (light maps and so on) did not help. Forced AF messes things up. Up to now only seen in newer UE3 games like "the vanishing of ethan carter" and "life is strange". Not seen in UT3. I hope this helps.
