trouble changing resolution and aspect ratio on intel and/or nvidia

I have recently bought a dell G15 5520 and I am trying to make a custom resolution but I cannot change the resolution in either Nvidia control panel or Intel control panel, when I try to look up fixes for this problem everything says I should be able to change it in either one or the other but none of the options to do so are in either program for me. please help me out this is really frustrating me 🙂

PS.

I am aware that on laptops with integrated graphics you normally cant use the Nvidia panel to change resolution but that normally means that you can change it in intel but I cannot 😞

Hello @Mimic

Please download the Intel® Graphics Command Center (Beta) and go to Display > General >  Scale > Custom. There you can create your own profile.

If the issue persists, in order to have more information about your system, please download, install and run Intel® System Support Utility for Windows. Make sure you check “Everything” before you scan, then save the report and attach it to your response.

Then, please generate and attach the Report for Intel® Intel Graphics Command Center

Hi Jose,

I'm having the same problem for a few days now, it was working fine until this last sunday.

I can't change the resolution it even in Intel Graphics Command Center as you said.
I've tried adding a custom resolution but can't change the aspect ration as you can see below:

All drivers are updated and I even try restoring my computer because of this. Nothing works 😞

I'm using a  i7-1165G7, Intel Iris Xe Graphics, NVIDIA GeForceMX330 and the connection is HDMI to HDMI and I've tried 4 different 2.0 HDMI cables. I'ts LG monitor 29WL500-B.

Thanks
