Good evening. I have an Intel ARC 770 graphics card and windows 11 and when I start my computer it doesn't automatically search for the latest driver. It says that the time has expired and that auto update is having trouble finding the driver.
How to fix it?
Good morning. Yes, the other updates work perfectly, the internet connection is fine, only the automatic update of the intel ARC 770 video card drivers does not work. I am attaching a picture for illustrative purposes.

Same issue for me this morning, also Windows update "updated" my graphics driver without me controlling it at all and now Arc software will not open.
God I hate Windows!

So, I reinstalled the driver for my A750. I did a little search on stopping Windows from updating my drivers, heres what I did.
Open the Run command.
- Type gpedit.msc and click OK to open the Local Group Policy Editor.
- Browse the following path:
- Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update > Manage updates offered from Windows Update
- On the right side, double-click the Do not include drivers with Windows Update policy.
- Select the Enabled option.
- Click Apply.
- Click OK.
Your computer will continue to receive security and other patches after completing these steps, but drivers will be excluded.
After that, I reinstalled the latest Arc driver and its working normal again and is looking for updates. Driver I used:

The driver Windows did prior to this is in the image below.
I hope this helps!

I don't think you need to disable including drivers in Windows Update, but auto driver update for Intel Arc cards hasn't been working since forever (or intermittently).
See this which refers to the same link as previous post here to manually update the driver.

No, I had to disable automatic updates to drivers. Windows kept trying to run a update to it every time I installed the new one from Intel. Which broke Arc Control from checking for new drivers at the same time, I could not even open Arc Control after windows updated it.
I dont use auto update to update mine, I do use it to know when there is a update and then manually install it.

Thanks and noted. Maybe it's Windows version, I'm on latest Windows 11 Pro version (24H2) and it doesn't do this.
