I'm on the latest 4369, and since I installed this driver, I cannot use Intel's Virtual Camera. As soon as I do anything in the Camera tab, I'm having the "The camera is currently in use" error, as well as the "An error occurred while trying to modify (whatever I do in the Camera tab, like changing source)"
I already just did a DDU, and please do not tell me to get out of Windows Insider, first I'm already in the queue to get out of it, and other people being on the stable release are getting this issue as well. I am absolutely sick of all the errors and issues I'm having with my Arc since I have it, I just want to use it without having to mind what to do to fix this or that issue
I have linked a SSU

Ok. That's the difference. I previously was on the 4369 version, but I recently used the Intel Driver & Support assistant to check for updated drivers and I guess it rolled this driver version back to 31.0.101.4255 (release date: 3/16/2023). That is the driver version reported in the ARC Control app for me now. I didn't look at the version before posting. Maybe the 4369 version was pulled.

I still have the same problem as @Leviathan12052003 with "Camera is currently being used by another app".
Driver version 31.0.101.4255 with release date 2023-03-16, which is a long time ago. I have a Lenovo X1, so Lenovo probably delays the release of new driver versions.
@MattBartoe : In which version was the problem resolved for you?

I still have the issue "Camera is currently being used by another app"
This was the problem with driver version 4502 and I just updated to Beta version 4514
No resolution of the issue. No idea how to fix it.

This was working for a while but now broken again. I am on version 31.0.101.4502, released 6/15/2023. I have NVIDIA on another computer and it works flawlessly every time. Sad to see myself here on the forum again begging Intel to fix the issue once and for all. I will avoid all Intel graphics cards as much as possible in the future.

Background Replacement is a problem for me and the latest updare hasn't fixed this.
I still get the Camera is currently being used by another app" when choosing Background Replacement.
Remove Background, Background Blur and Lighting Adjustment are working OK, but I don't think they were ever not working.

Hello Pob
This thread will now be closed, however, if you are still experiencing issues with "background replacement" only within the virtual camera settings, open a new thread so we can further assist with that issue specifically.

Hello Pob
This issue as originally posted by the thread owner, the virtual camera could not be turned on at all regardless of the effect setting being used resulting in the error "The camera is currently in use", Are you able to enable the virtual camera with any other effect setting besides "Background Replacement" or are you not able to enable virtual camera at all?
I would also recommend that you uninstall previous drivers using Display Driver Uninstaller and while in safe mode update to the 4644 version.

Hello @TheWonderfulPie
As mentioned in our previous post this issue should have been resolved in our latest driver 31.0.101.4644 which includes a few fixes for the Virtual Camera feature. Since there are no further questions we will be closing the thread but feel free to open a new topic if you need further assistance.

The problem is still not resolved with 4952 for me as well. For me it looks like if webex is started before arc, it is not working. Otherwise fine in most cases. However, not stable enough for a whole day. Camera could even disappear after a few hours. Re-plugging does not solve the problem in this case.
