I'm using display port on the monitor "gigabyte G24F 2" it supports VVR/Freesync range 24~180 yet I can't enable VVR in the control panel, option is grayed out and that the monitor doesn't support it, the option doesn't appear in windows 11, I tried brute forcing it, by using regedit with no success, from my research this seems like a common problem on Gigabyte monitors. ~

Hello Veceda,
Thank you for posting in the communities. May I please know the link wherein you saw the information about the gigabyte monitors so we can check it for you? To isolate hardware issues, were you also able to use a different cable? May I also please know as well the driver version you are using that experiences this issue? You may post here your SSU logs so we can become more familiar with your configuration and specifications. To download the software, you can visit this link: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/18377/intel-system-support-utility-for-windows.html. I am looking forward to your response. Thank you.

Thank you for the response, I had tried an HDMI cable it lead to the same results of not being able to enable VVR, I am using the latest beta driver, 31.0.101.5379. the issue persists on older driver versions here's where I found other users sharing the same problem with their gigabyte monitors:

Hello Veceda,
Thank you for patiently waiting. Upon reviewing your case, we have found out that the specification of the G24F 2 Gaming monitor is only equipped with two HDMI 2.0 ports. For the utilization of Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), it's essential to ensure that the display's HDMI input conforms to the HDMI 2.1. You may try using another monitor that supports HDMI 2.1 to further test your system.

I hope I was able to clarify this for you. If you have further questions, feel free to ask and we will be there to assist you.
