The new Skate. by EA crashes my entire computer like the BF6 beta crashed, both my monitors freeze but i can still hear audio, i have insider access and the previous Closed Playtest didn't do this but the new version does and I'm pretty sure its a driver issue. the game runs great when i can play but it will just randomly crash. it will crash either at the configuring screen or 5 minutes into playing or 2 hrs into playing, just randomly. its super annoying. other arc users are having same issue on EA forums.

Hello FlamePaladin,
Thank you for posting in Intel community Forum.
For me to better understand and diagnose the issue further, let me ask you to provide detailed responses to the following questions. This information will help me isolate the problem and determine the most appropriate course of action moving forward.
- What is the model of the Graphics controller?
- What is your game launcher?
- Let me check, are you using the official released game or is it a demo?
- Can you share the screenshot of the Graphics settings of the game.
- What are the troubleshooting steps that you tried so far?
If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.
Best regards,
Michael L.

1. Phantom Gaming Arc A770 8GB OC Edition (did you mean model number?)
2. EA Launcher
3. it is official insider access release. The File named Skate.png has a picture of my EA Launcher, I Launch the game using the the picture with skaters called Skate.tm not Skate CPT.
5. I have tried uninstalling graphics driver using DDU and reinstalling, new windows update which downgraded my driver to the one that is shown in screenshot then I used DDU again then i always use the Intel Driver and Support Assistant to reinstall my drivers/update them. i have lowered the graphics to lowest possible/ I used FSR instead of XESS, I tried Native rendering instead of both of those. I tried all combination of settings always with depth of field and Motion Blur turned off ( I hate both of those settings, i always turn off). I closed everything in the background as well as left everything open several times and it doesn't make a difference. According to the fps counter by the Xbox game bar i am getting anywhere between 110 to 180 fps depending on area and how busy it was, and according to HW monitor the game wasn't using more than 7gb vram total running everything and card doesn't go over 61 degrees Celsius.

Hello FlamePaladin,
Thank you for the update.
Upon checking, the game is not yet officially released so we may wait for its release before I can perform a simulation in the lab.
While waiting, please help generate the dump files, kindly refer to the link below and scroll down to Crashing/freezing issues/BSOD: and follow the steps to generate the dump files:

I actually found a fix, i downloaded an old driver but not the actual driver but instead the arc control center and i used the compatibility feature and turned it to the highest settings and the game runs great, haven't crashed in days, I used the same fix for Battlefield 6 beta before the driver was released.

Hello FlamePaladin,
Thank you for the update.
At the moment, there is no specific driver update for the game so no RTA for the driver yet.
Since you mentioned I can close the thread, I need to close this inquiry.
If you need further assistance, please post a new question as this thread will no longer be monitored.
Thank you and have a great day.
Best regards,
Michael L.

I too am having this issue. At random intervals I'll just completely hang and have to hold the power button on my machine. Sometimes it'll freeze then unfreeze and show a similar MessageBox like OP's screenshots.
My laptop is a Dell Inc. Inspiron 16 7640 2-in-1
-OS: Windows 11 Pro
-Processor: Intel Core Ultra 7 155H
-Graphics: Intel Arc Graphics
-Memory: 16GB
All drivers/software are up to date.
If need anything else, let me know. and thanks for reading.. I really wanna continue playing this game without worrying about if/when im gonna have to hold the power button on my machine!

Follow my tutorial to download old arc control center and the game works/ wont crash again. i did this when i said i found a fix but i didnt post it here only in the ea forums.
i found a fix for arc cards ive been playing for hours over last 2 days and no more crashing, this also fixed my BF6 during the open beta before they released a driver for it. The fix is to download the previous intel arc software that has more features and enable compatibility mode.
What your gonna want to do is go to the link below this and download the older intel driver 101.5768 and when you download it, open it and wait for extraction. A prompt is going to show up asking if you want to force it bc its an older driver and you want to click yes and follow thru the eula screens and before you install it press the "customize" button and uncheck the driver box and only install the "ARC Control". then once its done you dont have to reboot since its not the driver then open it, to go the "Games" tab, go to the plus on the top right and add Skate to your games, then click on Skate and top right there is a drop down menu for compatibility mode and put it on "Advanced". and Enjoy!
https://www.techpowerup.com/download/intel-graphics-drivers/
on the left side of the screen you will find a scroll down area with a list of all intel drivers and scroll down to find the driver listed on previous paragraph.

So what your gonna wanna do first is read what ive said, then you download the old driver but you dont install the actual driver you uncheck the driver box, you only download the software that comes w the driver so you can use the compatibility setting. i have both the old software installed and the new one and i have the most current driver released, but nah lil bro you do you, just trying to help other play skate, intel aint gon do shii about it, if you read this forum there is no driver release coming anytime soon, so enjoy your crashes!!!
