UBOAT graphical glitch

Dear Intel Support Team!

My name is Ákos, and i'm trying to ask for your help on behalf of a graphics glitch in one of my video games, named UBOAT.

Sadly, I encounter a weird graphics glitch, where the foam around the submarine has little black flickering artifacts. Unfortunately, I wasn't the only one to experience this, another user already reported exactly this issue, but sadly his case got closed because he didn't answer back to the case. I would like to continue and help you to investigate and fix this problem. My graphics settings are all maxed out, no upscaling tech used. Vsync is disabled along with motion blur.

In the closed case, where the other user reported exactly this issue, he/she told you that he see this artifact no matter the graphics settings. I can confirm this, no matter which settings you choose, the black flickering artifacts still happening. Please check the link I attached, the user attached pictures about the problem.

I have tried all the troubleshoot methods you mentioned in the previous discussion earlier, sadly, they didn't solve this little but annoying issue.

MSI MAG 275QF

Could you please share a screenshot of the issue so I can better understand the full context? In the meantime, please try the steps outlined in this article and let me know if you notice any changes. I'm currently investigating whether this might be related to a recent update from the game itself. Have you reached out to UBOAT support to inquire about this issue? Also, kindly provide the SSU log report so I can review your system information for further analysis.

 

Lastly, may I ask for the download link or source where you obtained the game? This will help me check for any version-specific concerns.

Hey RandyT! 

 

When i try to take a printscreen screenshot, the artifacts are not visible, so i took a video with my phone, where you can see the black flickering artifacts. 

 

I haven't reached out to UBOAT support, but i may send them an e-mail tonight, just to make sure we try to solve this issue together.

 

I'll upload the video along with the SSU report you asked for. Please keep in mind that i had the game running while doing the SSU log.

 

I obtained the game trough Steam, i bought the game there and playing it trough Steam.

To help us better understand and resolve the problem, I kindly ask for your assistance with the following:

 

  1. Could you please share the link from which you downloaded the game? This will help us verify the source and ensure that you have the correct version.
  2. Since the artifacts are not clearly visible in the recording, could you provide us with a video of the game where these artifacts occur? You can use OBSMicrosoft Game Bar, or any other video recording application that you prefer. This will allow us to see the issue in action and assess it more accurately, please confirm if the artifacts are consistently present throughout the gameplay or if they appear intermittently.

 

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated and will assist us in providing a swift resolution.

Hey RandyT!

 

Of course, i'll assist with more help to solve this problem.

 

1. https://store.steampowered.com/app/494840/UBOAT/ this is the link to the Official game, this is where i downloaded it. 

 

2. I attached an mp4 file, its laggy for some reason, but only in the video, because the game runs pretty good for me. I hope in this footage you'll see the artifacts, those little quick textures at the bottom of the screen, near the back of the submarine. The artifacts are not consistent, they only appear if you view the submarine from the back. If you watch it from the sides or front, the artifacts are not visible.

Hi @NagyAkos512 ,

 

I've identified the issue you've reported and have successfully reproduced it. It appears that the graphics corruption is triggered by the water reflection rendering, and this is also occurring in the submarine pen of the new game. I'm actively working on a fix.
