pasted from previous thread as i have tried the same steps with the same results:
Hi There,
I've just picked up early access to Le Mans Ultimate via Steam. Game won't progress past the initial loading screen, which appears to be an issue with ARC graphics cards. A number of users are having similar issues. Have tried:
Loading from Steam
Loading from .exe directly
Loading from .exe directly as an administrator
Uninstall and reinstall
Disable Windows Defender
Installing to different SSD (don't have a traditional HDD to try)
Validating install via Steam
Ensuring all drivers are up to date
Closing all non-essential programs
When attempting to load from steam:
Click Play
Play button turns blue and shows "Cancel"
Studio 397 logo flashes
Small window with Le Mans Ultimate V0.4000 in header bar opens
Small window with Le Mans Ultimate V0.4000 closes 1-2 seconds later
Blue "Cancel" button in Steam turns green, showing "Play" again
Same thing happens when loading directly from the .exe, except it does not trigger the Steam button.
I don't run an antivirus other than Windows Defender
No performance monitors such as Afterburner or Riva Tuner installed
No performance enhancements or overclocking of graphics card.
Computer specs:
Intel I7-13700k
Intel Arc A750
MSI mortar B760M
32Gb corsair RAM
Windows 11

I am using Arc Xe graphics on my Dell 5440 and I have experienced BSOD boot drive inaccessible. This tells me somebody needs to check the miniport error handlers

I hope to have a fix by 1.0, which will be released on 22 July.
Many people on LMU forum and discord are writing about this bug.
It loads fine in single player mode with the virtual mirror turned off. Unfortunately it does not work or works very rarely in multiplayer.

I am not sure about this game as is not the usual Steam game. The game has some custom loader etc that can be problematic.
The steam community is chock full of gripes

You addressed the bugs in Battlefield 6 so swiftly, yet it appears you're turning a blind eye to the LMU issue.

The solution I found to getting Le Mans Ultimate running consistently with my A770LE involves disabling anything perceived as a mirror.
You not only need to disable the car's mirrors, you also need to disable VR mirroring and also the trackside video screens.
There will still be a bit of shimmering on the pit-wall in front of the pit-box... as well as the right-hand side of the track surface at pit out at Spa.
It is clear in the video.
There is an issue with how shadows which cast onto any other surface are rendered.
It is especially evident on the hillside and trees just prior to Pouhon corner at Spa.
The only track I have found (in the base game) that does not exhibit this shimmering anomaly is Portimao.
There are not many things close to that track to cast shadows.

Almost forgot...If you've already created a profile, it is best to delete that in the userdata folder...then let the game re-create a new one.
Go immediately into Settings....Graphics... on first startup and make the necessary changes before trying to go on track.
Before I made the changes, the track loading would go to 100% ...then crash to the error notification box without the car ever getting to the pitbox.
After the changes, I can do everything....practice, races, online races, etc... No more issues other than shadows.
It (LMU) actually runs quite smooth on ARC.
