Hello
The system requirements for openvino 2020 includes Intel Xeon E3, E5 & E7 family:
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/articles/release-notes/openvino-relnotes-2020.html
In the 2021.4 and 2022.3 release notes Intel Xeon E3, E5 & E7 family is no longer included in the system requirements. Does this mean support for Xeon E3/E5/E7 was removed?
Does OpenVINO 2021.4 or 2022.3 work with Intel Xeon E3/E5/E7 family CPU?
Or, if I have an Intel Xeon E3/E5/E7 CPU do I have to use openvino 2020?

Hi,
if you planned on using an older version of Intel Xeon, it is recommended to use OpenVINO version that is compatible with it (older version).
However, bear in mind that some latest fix or features won't be available as it is in the latest version.
Cordially,
Iffa

Hi Clun,
We have received an update from engineering team that we do not officially support Intel Xeon E3, E5, and E7 with OpenVINO 2022 product line. However, inference still can be run on these platforms.
Regards,
Peh
