Hi,
I've checked that OpenVINO compatible operating systems, and I couldn't see Chrome OS here. (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/tools/openvino-toolkit/system-requirements.html)
I want to know whether OpenVINO works on Chrome OS or Chromebook environments.
I've found this branch on OpenVINO Github(https://github.com/openvinotoolkit/openvino/tree/releases/2020/1.chromeos), but I couldn't find any other updates.
Regards,
Jason.
Hi Jason,
As for now, it might be a complicated process to build and obtain the library for ChromeOS, as it is not officially supported as a standard distribution.
Hope this information help
Thank you

Hi Jason,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
For your information, Chrome OS or Chromebook environment is not officially supported for OpenVINO™ Toolkit and the GitHub branch you've provided is only for development purposes and is not an official release.
On another note, the supported Operating Systems for OpenVINO™ Toolkit are as follows:
- Ubuntu* 18.04 LTS (64 bit)
- Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (64 bit)
- Windows® 10 (64 bit)
- Windows* 11 (recommended for 12th generation Intel Core processors)
- Red Hat* Enterprise Linux* 8 (64 bit)
- macOS* 10.15 (64 bit)

Hi Hairul,
I've checked that link, which system requirements of OpenVINO.
I wanted to know whether OpenVINO works on Chromium OS or not.
Or any plan to support Chrome OS in the future.
Regards,
Jason.
Our Google summer of code student created this and it's open source. Maybe this will give you a pointer to porting it to Chrome OS too.
