I downloaded the installer from
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/tools/openvino-toolkit/download.html
and installed on my Macbook 2021 with M1 chip.
Next I tried to run demos from
sh /opt/intel/openvino_2021/deployment_tools/demo/demo_squeezenet_download_convert_run.sh
But it failed
I assume that this is the issue of M1 chip compatibility.
What is the best resource to set up OpenVino 2021 version with M1 chip?
Is it even possible to make it work properly or do any possible solutions have some limitations as of now?
I wonder if I should exchange my Macbook for a non-Mac laptop with an Intel chip if I rely on working with OpenVino.
Thank you

Greetings,
The M1 chip shouldn't be an issue, however, it is recommended to use OpenVINO build from source which you can find the guide here.
Plus, you'll need this CPU Plugin (which requires to be built from source too).
Sincerely,
Iffa

Greetings,
Intel will no longer monitor this thread since we have provided a solution. If you need any additional information from Intel, please submit a new question.
