Hi,
It is not actually a bug, but OpenVINO Ubuntu installation place .scripts folders with packages from Intel Media SDK into root directory:
ls /.scripts
POSTIN.intel-openvino-mediasdk-2019.2-275.x86_64.rpm SUMMARY.intel-openvino-mediasdk-2019.2-275.x86_64.rpm
I guess the right place should be /opt/intel/.scripts

Dear mvrht, u3425923,
Actually thanks for catching this ! This is a strange location - we should not be putting stuff in the / directory. I will file a bug !
Thanks,
Shubha

Unfortunately, the issue still exists in newly released OpenVINO 2019R3

Dear mvrht, u3425923,
Sorry for the inconvenience. We are looking into how best to address the issue and it's true that the problem remains in 2019R3. All I can say for now is, stay tuned - a bug ticket is still open on this issue. Hopefully we will come up with a solution in R4. It's not an urgent bug or feature, which is why you're still seeing the issue in R3.
Thanks,
Shubha

Also another small bug:
intel-openvino-mediasdk-2020.1-023.x86_64.rpm (from OpenVino 2020.1) package installs /etc/ld.so.conf.d/intel-mdf.conf file for making some libraries global accessible, however /opt/intel/common/mdf is not provided anymore starting from 2020.1
