Raspberry Pi 4 (Raspian OS 11)

NCS2
Documentation I am following : https://docs.openvino.ai/2022.3/openvino_docs_install_guides_installing_openvino_raspbian.html#doxid-openvino-docs-install-guides-installing-openvino-raspbian
I am following the official intel instructions to set up NCS 2 on my raspberry pi 4 with raspbian os 11 (32 bits). However, I tried alot but facing the usb rules missing issue when trying to install openvino runtime. I tried the solution which was provided in earlier post i.e, changing the install directory in setupvars.sh file but no results.

Hi Nasir30,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

For your information, Intel® Movidius ™ VPU based products (MYRIAD device) are not supported in 2022.3.0 release, but will be added back in a future OpenVINO 2022.3.1 LTS update (Release date are not yet available).

In the meantime, for support on MYRIAD device please use OpenVINO 2022.2 release.

Do note the validated Operating Systems for this release are as follows:

  • Raspbian Buster, ARM, 32-bit
  • Raspbian Stretch, ARM, 32-bit

Regards,

Hairul

Hi Nasir30,

I was able to install and detect MYRIAD device on my Raspberry Pi 4 (Raspbian Buster) with OpenVINO 2022.2. Here is the result for running Hello Query Device Python sample:

Furthermore, I was able to build and run the Hello Classification C++ sample and produced results using MYRIAD device:

Please ensure that you have completed the steps in NCS2 Setup Guide before using the MYRIAD device. For your information, the "97-myriad-usbboot.rules" should be located in /opt/intel/openvino_2022.2.0.7713/install_dependencies.

Regards,

Hairul
