Hello, I got in trouble setting up license file for Questa Starter Edition on my Ubuntu based Linux Distribution.
After generating license file in SSLC, I've set up the environment variable following the instructions attached in email by adding "export LM_LICENSE_FILE=$HOME/intelFPGA" or
"export MGLS_LICENSE_FILE=$HOME/intelFPGA/LR-109195_License.dat"
into "/etc/profile". However none of these works. Everytime I try to launch Questa by ./vsim in terminal it returns "Unable to checkout a license. Make sure your license file environment variable (SALT_LICENSE_SERVER, MGLS_LICENSE_FILE, LM_LICENSE_FILE)is set correctly and then run 'lmutil lmdiag' to diagnose the problem.Unable to checkout a license. Vsim is closing.** Error: Invalid license environment. Application closing.".
Besides, both "./lmutil" and "./lmdiag" returned "No such file or directory" when I run them in terminal.
I've tried to reinstall Questa and used a newer edition(22.4) but they didn't make any difference. How can I fix this error to get Questa work?

do you have the same issue the rest of us have here https://community.intel.com/t5/Intel-FPGA-Software-Installation/Has-anyone-succeeded-running-Questa-Starter-with-license-file/m-p/1453450#M4625 .. a license file with only comments in it and no actual license? If so can you also post in that thread, if enough people report the same thing perhaps it will get looked at.
