digital visual fortran ver 6.0 crashesas soon as I click "file" then "open"the error it gives is:
"digital visual FortranDFDEV.exe Application Error"
The instruction at 0x73dd11c7 referenced memory at 0x00000004 the memory could not be read
click ok to terinate the program

Can any body help with this

Win XP sp3 with all updates as of 12/10

I would recommend Intel Visual Fortran version 11.1. I have no idea why your 10-year-old DVF is no longer working for you, but I suggest that it's time to upgrade.

You could always try a system restore to an earlier date when you had no problems running the program and see if that works.
