weird error message for buildig IVF 8.1 DLL

I get this error message when I am trying to build my IVF 8.1 DLL:

designii_dll error: problem during multi-file optimization compilation (code 3)

What ?

I haven't seen that one before. Have you enabled the multi-file interprocedural optimization option (/ipo)?

What ? I looked all over the place and I did not see this option in the Visual C++ / IVF interface.

I did a full rebuild and I am seeing a different error message at the moment.

I think that I am going to let this port come to a halt as a failure.

We do have a couple of problems with Open Watcom that need to be fixed. However, using the mix of the Intel IVF compiler in the Visual C++ 2003 environment has proven to be just one problem after another. I just cannot justify spending any more time on this when there are probably still unknown issues out there.
