I am in the process of installing a 2-seat floating academic licensed Intel compiler package on the server that interfaces to my cluster. It complains that it does not find the license file:

icpc found in /usr/local/intel/cce/10.1.011/bin/icpc
icpc -V output:
Intel C++ Compiler for applications running on Intel 64, Version 10.1 Build 20071116 Package ID: l_cc_p_10.1.011
Copyright (C) 1985-2007 Intel Corporation. All rights reserved.

Error: A license for CCompL is not available now (-15,570,111).

A connection to the license server could not be made. You should
make sure that your license daemon process is running: both an
lmgrd.intel process and an INTEL process should be running
if your license limits you to a specified number of licenses in use
at a time. Also, check to see if the wrong port@host or the wrong
license file is being used, or if the port or hostname in the license
file has changed.

I installed with my serial number, but I cannot find any instructions as to what I need to do next.

Can you point me in the right direction?

If I understand it correctly, you should find an Intel License Manager product listed for you at the Intel Registration Center if you have registered a floating license. That's where you can find the license managers. Please read the compiler Installation Guide for further details.
