No Driver on Install

Hi folks. Not sure if this is the correct forum.

I keep getting a problem when I try to install Realtek HD Audio Manager.

Error is 'No driver supported in this driver package'.

Does anyone know if there is a fix for this?

I just managed to get a legacy version.

Would have prefered the latest.

Then go to realtek or your motherboard/system manufacturer.  Intel is not realtek.

Thanks Al. It was on the Realtek I got the legacy version, as said I’d prefer the latest version.

But, we cannot help you without system information, which you provided none.

Provide the system/motherboard model  number and processor model number.

Well, this is totally a non-intel issue.  Asustek board, and a discontinued/unsupported intel proceessor.

II am sure you have already checked the asustek site:

Realtek Audio Driver
Version 6.0.1.7727
338.59 MB

There is nothing that can be done here.   As I said, intel is not realtek.

The No-Driver message is being received because RealTek is not supporting devices this old in their current driver packages. Going to a 'legacy' version of the driver package is the only way to use this older device.

As Al said, you'll have to take it up with RealTek. This was their decision and it has nothing to do with Intel (well, other than they have discontinued their own (NUC and Desktop Board) products this old, so seemingly don't care what RealTek does).

Guys, I'm just going to go with the legacy. It works.

Thanks for your input
