Maybe. You need to check with Gigabyte to see if their board and bios supports optane. If it does, then, yes, you can accelerate the HDD.

This is the only i've found on that FAQ, i think it's talking about speed up 2 or more O.S. in several disks, but i just want to speed up one HDD with two partitions.

As mentioned by the Super User Al.Hill dual OS boot systems are not supported by the Optane.
