Before I installed the optane, when i booted up the pc all my hardware worked straight when i press the power button and no beeping occured, however now that i installed it the pc creates 3 beeps then takes me straight to the log in page for windows 10 and within the 3 beeps (which are about 2 seconds and are 2 seconds apart from each other) all my hardware is disabled and my monitor doesn't detect a signal. due to this i cannot go to the bios. does anybody know what is going on and how i can fix this issue? thanks

Alright, I have changed the C: drive to UEFI and done everything, although the 100mb at the end of the C: drive isnt meant to be there. Also there is a system reserve thing which i dont know what its about.
Thanks.

Hi Atomicman456,
Thank you for the information.
I can see that you reserved the unallocated space at the end of the C: partition, is there any way you can move it to the end of the drive? I mean, at the very end so this space appears as the last one.
On the other hand, the System Reserved partition is created by the system automatically. That's fine so don't worry about it.
Additionally, please do the following for the 3 drives that you have to confirm all of them are using GPT partition style:
- Go to Disk Management.
- Right click on each disk and select Properties.
- Select the tab Volumes from the window that will pop up. Take a screenshot of this output for each drive.
Please also run the Intel® System Support Utility (SSU) again to collect your current system information: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows-
I understand that at this point, you have not connected the Intel® Optane™ Memory, right? So far, have you had the issue when booting up the system?
Regards,
Diego V.

Alright, So I have done what you asked, but I dont know if the 100mb should be to left of the C: drive. Also, all the drives are in gpt partion style.
Thanks.

Hi Atomicman456,
Everything looks fine. Let's try connecting the module to the motherboard again.
I was checking your motherboard's specification and there is a note regarding to the SATA port 1. Please check it here: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B250I-GAMING-PRO-AC/Specification https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B250I-GAMING-PRO-AC/Specification
If you connect the module into the M.2_2 slot, the SATA port 1 will be unavailable, so make sure no drive is connected to that SATA port.
After connecting the module, you have to make sure the following settings in your BIOS are properly configured:
SATA Mode: RAID/Optane Mode
M2_1 – RST PCIe Storage Remapping: Enabled
Use RST Legacy OROM: Disabled
M.2/Optane Genie: Enabled
I'm checking these settings from the following site: https://us.msi.com/Landing/intel-optane-memory-motherboard https://us.msi.com/Landing/intel-optane-memory-motherboard
Once that's done, boot your system and download the Intel® Optane™ Application from the following site: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28256/Intel-Optane-Memory-User-Interface-and-Driver-for-System-Acceleration?product=99745 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28256/Intel-Optane-Memory-User-Interface-and-Driver-for-System-Acceleration?product=99745
Once it's installed, run it and try to enable the module.
Let me know the results.
Regards,
Diego V.

I enabled the module and ran the software and the beeping started and it also skipped the bios. Basically, exactly as the video I send you before.
I'm starting to think that this is a problem with the module itself and not the PC.

Hi Atomicman456,
I see. In that case, my recommendation would be to contact the place of purchase and explain this issue to them. They should be able to help you by offering a replacement if the module is still under the warranty period.
Please contact them and let me know what they tell you.
Regards,
Diego V.
