Hello All,
I am working on a project contains many protocols and buses and till now we need to add pr removes some of the IPs in the project, it means the design is not ready yet.
I need to calculate the power consumption for all FPGA voltage rails of Cyclone V GX fpga Device.
I have never done this before, I used the power analyzer tool in quartus and I got the following table
Here is the power analyzer summary and it shows the confidance of estmation is LOW
And this is the design summary
For running this tool I only run fitter also I modified the voltage of each bank we have. That's all what I'm done to get the above table, I have zero experience with calculate the power consumption and i don't want to make a mistake. I hope someone here can guide me for the correct steps
BTW, I don't have test bench for this project yet.
My questions,
1. have I used this tool correctly?
2. What are the required steps to calculate the power consumption for all FPGA voltage rails?
3. Does the tool give correct estimation or is there way to calculate manually?
Thank you in advance
