Calculating the appropriate number & values of decoupling capacitors required for Cyclone 10 LP device

The PDN tool V2 seems to have support for Cyclone 10 GX device. The generic PDN tool V1.1.1 is generic where we manually select the number & values for the capacitors. Is there a more efficient way to optimize the decap selection process? I have referred the 10CL025 EVM schematics too, but I intend to use 10CL040 device and following the same decaps of the EVM may/may not be a good choice. Kindly provide some insights.

Hi,

For your information, there is no plan to deliver the Cyclone 10 LP PDN. You are recommended to use the device agnostic tool from PDN page.

At the meantime, you can refer to Intel Cyclone 10 LP Device Design Guidelines as a reference.

Thank you
