Difference between JAM /JBC file generated using Quartus 16.1 and 18.

Hi all,

 

I am currently using Quartus 16.1, but I am intended to upgrade it to version 18. However, by doing some investigation, I remarked some differences between the generated files, in particular, the JBC/JAM files.

I would like to know:

  • The difference between the files generated using Quartus 16.1 and 18.
  • The improvement/difference between JAM generation: "ALG_VERSION" 67 and 68.
  • The possibility to generate the ALG_VERSION 67 using the Quartus version 18?

Hi,

 

Unfortunately I do no have the information on the difference as the latest version will be able to support the newer product family. There is no way to generate ALG_VERSION 67 on Quartus version 18.
